We’ve flagged up Edie Falco’s brand new show, Nurse Jackie, in our magazine this week, and we thought you’d like to see a trailer of it as well.

Edie Falco, best known on these shores as Mafia wife Carmela in The Sopranos, plays a nurse who treads the fine line between saint and sinner, sometimes bending the rules to allow her to provide the best care for the patients in her ER, and resorting to some very choice prescription drugs to help her cope with the stress of it all.

Other characters include Dr Cooper (Peter Facinelli from Damages), a young doc with a form of Tourettes that you don’t expect to see on telly, and Jackie’s lover Eddie (fellow Sopranos star Paul Schulze), a pharmacist who keeps her supplied with her heavy-duty painkillers.

No word yet on anyone picking up here, but we bet it won’t be long - it premieres tonight in the US, and people in the know who’ve already seen it say it’s absolutely brilliant. Come on Sky, you bought House - you can squeeze in another medical drama!
