Eight Things We Learned Today | Wednesday 23 September

1. Doctor Who guru Russell T Davies turned down the chance to write for George Lucas’s forthcoming live-action Star Wars series.

2. Mary McDonnell (aka Battlestar’s ailing President Roslin) might well be doing a guest spot on Grey’s Anatomy.

3. Ian McKellen reveals his feelings about the first day of filming the forthcoming Prisoner remake over on his AMC blog.

4. Val Kilmer – the voice of know-it-all supercar KITT – still hasn’t met any of his colleagues on the all-new series of Knight Rider.

5. Dancing With the Stars wiped the floor against Heroes in terms of viewing figures Stateside.

6. Praise be - pop sensation Miley Cyrus isn’t planning on quitting Disney’s Hannah Montana just yet. Which is a huge weight off our minds.

7. Michael Ausiello at EW knows where the island in Lost has got to – but has it gone backwards in time, forwards in time, moved elsewhere on the planet or just become invisible to human eyes? If we were betting folk, we’d say it’s gone back in time - thus allowing “flashbacks” and current events to happen at the same time. But what do you reckon?

    Re: Lost.
I put my money on the island being cloaked by Dharma technology…. but there is also the big question about what’s happened to the Other’s island. Remember the one where they all holed up at with the zoo? I bet the boaties, who are still floating in the ocean, land up on that island while those left on the invisible island have to try and find that big switch again to make it reappear again. Let’s wait and see if I’m right.
    Anyone else got any theories.

Hmmm… Not so sure about a cloaking device. When the island disappeared it looked more like it had been sucked down a giant plug hole. So I think it will move to another location. Who knows it might pop up in the middle of the English Channel…
