1. 24 – Lost’s Michael Emerson is baffled by this week’s triple 24 stabbing on the excellent The Soup!

2. 24 – Filming’s been suspended as Kiefer Sutherland needs surgery for a ruptured cyst.

3. Desperate Housewives – Sounds like they’re regretting killing Edie as they’re searching for a new Wisteria Lane troublemaker. Also, Heidi Klum will be guest starring as herself.

4. Ugly Betty - Kathy Najimy off Veronica’s Closet (come on, it’s not that obscure) will appear in a pivotal role towards the end of the series.

5. VBattlestar Galactica’s Michael Trucco has joined the sci-fi reboot as a rebel leader.

La Femme Nikita – A remake of the action series is in the works, courtesy of McG.

Ron Howard – The Arrested Development narrator (amongst other things) is helming a new sitcom.

Ugly BettyHas been axed! But we’ll get 20-episodes in the fourth series. Please can someone give Wilhelmina her own show now?

1. Mischa ‘The OC’ Barton is to guest star in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as a hooker.

2. A Betty/Daniel romance could be on the cards in Ugly Betty.

3. David Beckham isn’t a big enough name to appear in The Simpsons.

4. Dawson off Dawson’s Creek, James Van Der Beek, is joining nursing drama Mercy.

5. Heroes was the most pirated progamme of the past year.

Six things we learned today | Friday 18 December

1.True Blood’s back on FX in February and here’s an awesome sneak peek.

2. HBO’s epic The Pacific will launch in the States in March, with a screening on Sky Movies in the UK to follow…

3. One Tree Hill’s alcoholic barman Joe Manganiello is joining True Blood. As is Desperate Housewives’ Alfre Woodard and The Tudors’ James Frain. Phew!

4. Ugly Betty might be about to lose her braces, thanks to the return of Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

5. Charmed’s Alyssa Milano’s set to guest on our favourite show not picked up in the UK, Castle.

Betty bumps into former love Henry and his new girlfriend, and begins to have doubts about her relationship with Matt. Meanwhile, tennis legend Billie-Jean King guests as herself as Wilhelmina uncovers a shocking secret about Claire, and Daniel comes under the media spotlight when he plays the perfect husband.

Following a grenade attack at a restaurant, two bodies are brought into the morgue. When another grenade explodes before the autopsy can begin, Ryan sees Tara scrambling to save her pills and confronts her.

In this week’s double-bill, Joanna’s search for answers about Darryl’s identity leads her to a scandal, Roxie turns to a psychic when she becomes convinced she is being haunted by a ghost, and Kat accepts Darryl’s offer of a divorce lawyer.

Singer Adele makes a cameo when Betty, Matt and Marc hire her for their crucial final YETI assignment. However, as Matt decides he wants a different career, his mother (guest star Christine Baranski) involves Betty to try to keep him in line. Elsewhere, dopey Daniel finally gets hitched with Molly, and Claire has a huge surprise for Wilhelmina.

9pm, CSI: Miami, Five
The team have their hands full when a sexy bachelorette on a popular TV dating series is discovered murdered in a limousine just as the bachelor on the show is going to propose to her.

9pm, Warehouse 13, Sci-Fi & HD
SERIES FINALE MacPherson engages in a scheme to secretly sell off Warehouse artefacts, but a trail of clues lead Artie, Pete and Myka directly back to him. What a loser. But Warehouse 13 fans rejoice! The show’s been picked up for a second series and will air on Virgin1 next year.

9pm & 10pm, Eastwick, Hallmark
NEW SERIES Described as Gilmore Girls meets Charmed comes a new drama, loosely based on the famed Jack Nicholson film The Witches of Eastwick, in which Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price and Jaime Ray Newman play three women, with hidden supernatural powers, who find their lives in a tiny New England town turned on its head with the arrival of the mysterious Darryl Van Horne (Due South’s Paul Gross).
