24 axed!

1. It seems that 24 is facing the axe and season eight will be Jack’s final bad day (apart from that rumoured movie).

2. A range of Mad Men dolls are being released – just don’t look too hard at their somewhat identical faces…

3. Four of the original cast members are set to be reunited on the new Melrose Place.

Archer gets second season

1. Archer – The new animated spy series has been granted a second season. It starts here tomorrow night on Fiver.

2. Chuck – Quantum Leap’s Scott Bakula will be returning as Chuck and Ellie’s dad later in season three.

3. Desperate HousewivesJohn Barrowman’s been dishing secrets about his new bad guy role.

4. Glee – The curiously aged kids of McKinley High have been summoned to the White House.

5. The Vampire Diaries24/Alias/Heroes baddie David Anders will appear as Elena and Jeremy’s uncle.

1. 24 – Lost’s Michael Emerson is baffled by this week’s triple 24 stabbing on the excellent The Soup!

2. 24 – Filming’s been suspended as Kiefer Sutherland needs surgery for a ruptured cyst.

3. Desperate Housewives – Sounds like they’re regretting killing Edie as they’re searching for a new Wisteria Lane troublemaker. Also, Heidi Klum will be guest starring as herself.

4. Ugly Betty - Kathy Najimy off Veronica’s Closet (come on, it’s not that obscure) will appear in a pivotal role towards the end of the series.

5. VBattlestar Galactica’s Michael Trucco has joined the sci-fi reboot as a rebel leader.

NEW SERIES Following the new, improved 90210 comes an updated version of the 1990s US drama, starting with the shocking murder of Sydney Andrews (special guest star Laura Leighton) whose body is found floating in the complex’s iconic swimming pool.

9pm, NCIS, Five
Two marines are murdered and the investigation leads Gibbs back to his hometown, where secrets about his past come to light. Former Walton’s patriarch Ralph Waite guest stars. Previously shown on FX.

9pm, Leverage, Bravo
After a Wall Street broker sets fire to his stable killing his underachieving racehorses, the team travels to Kentucky to help a heartbroken trainer – who just happens to be Eliot’s old high school love – get revenge.

10pm, Desperate Housewives, Channel 4 & HD
As the residents of Wisteria Lane try to make sense of the recent attack on Julie, Lynette withholds a secret from her Susan. Meanwhile, Gabrielle gives Ana some man advice, and Bree worries over her affair with Karl. First shown on E4 on Sunday.

10pm, Mad Men, BBC4 & HD
A mandatory overtime session leaves the writers trying to stave off late-night boredom with booze and marijuana. Meanwhile, Roger throws a Kentucky Derby party but Don is left unimpressed, and Joan gets some unsavoury news about her fiancé Greg.

NEW SERIES It’s all go on Wisteria Lane as Mike’s bride is revealed, Gaby hesitates over becoming Ana’s legal guardian, Lynette gets anxious about her pregnancy, and Bree continues her affair with Karl. Meanwhile, the Bolens move in, but what secret is mum Angie (The Sopranos actress Drea de Matteo) hiding?

10pm, Mad Men, BBC4 & HD
NEW SERIES The third series of the sublime drama begins with a double bill. First up, Pete and Ken are among those affected by the corporate changes at the firm, while Sal and Don take an eye-opening business trip to Baltimore. Then, in the second episode, the Drapers dine with stuffy new British boss (Jared Harris) and his snobby wife.

11.40pm, The Good Wife, More4
Another chance to see the first episode of new drama in which Julianna Margulies  plays a wife and mother who is forced to go back to work as a lawyer when her husband (Chris Noth) is sent to jail. New episodes can be seen on Thursdays on More4.

6. SupernaturalA web-spin-off of the fantasy drama is in the works, brilliantly called Ghostfacers. Really, we’re not making this up!
