Five things we learned today | Wednesday 10 March

24 axed!

1. It seems that 24 is facing the axe and season eight will be Jack’s final bad day (apart from that rumoured movie).

2. A range of Mad Men dolls are being released – just don’t look too hard at their somewhat identical faces…

3. Four of the original cast members are set to be reunited on the new Melrose Place.

4. Felicity’s Keri Russell is returning to the box as part of Will Arnett’s new sitcom.

5. Here are the first pictures of John Barrowman in Desperate Housewives. It really is happening, we thought it was just a bad dream…

Six things we learned today | Thursday 18 February

Vampire Diaries gets second series

1. 24 – Some kind soul’s compiled a video of every 24 explosion. And there’ s been quite a few.

2. LostMaggie Grace will return as Shannon towards the end of the series.3. Lost – Some of the show’s most memorable moments have been immortalised in cartoon form

4. The Vampire Diaries – Has been commissioned for a second series. Also coming back in the Fall are 90210, Gossip Girl and Supernatural.

5. Two and a Half Men – Ally McBeal/Melrose Place star Courtney Thorne-Smith is to guest in a run of episodes.

6. V – Former X Files bad boy Nicholas Lea and Andromeda’s Lexia Doig will show up later in the series.

1. 24 – Lost’s Michael Emerson is baffled by this week’s triple 24 stabbing on the excellent The Soup!

2. 24 – Filming’s been suspended as Kiefer Sutherland needs surgery for a ruptured cyst.

3. Desperate Housewives – Sounds like they’re regretting killing Edie as they’re searching for a new Wisteria Lane troublemaker. Also, Heidi Klum will be guest starring as herself.

4. Ugly Betty - Kathy Najimy off Veronica’s Closet (come on, it’s not that obscure) will appear in a pivotal role towards the end of the series.

5. VBattlestar Galactica’s Michael Trucco has joined the sci-fi reboot as a rebel leader.

1. 24Jack will be cutting the heads off terrorists and keeping them in bowling ball bags on the big screen, though a ninth series of the spy drama has yet to be confirmed.

3. CapricaLucy Lawless has been tapped to appear in the BSG prequel as cylon D’Anna Myers. How’s that going to work, eh?
