You might remember back in November, we noticed an unusual logo in the Fray’s Lost season-five-clip-featuring pop video, and discovered it was promoting a mysterious airline.
Back then there was just a holding page, but we’ve been checking in to the airline site intermittently and it seems Ajira Airways is now well and truly active, and awaiting your scrutiny.
Carrying on with the theme of Destiny that has been popping up all over the season five trailers, the site offers a mysterious ticket up for grabs for the credit-crunch friendly price of $87.Here’s what it offers: ‘Get lost in the wild wonder of the world and let time and space have no consequence. For $87 you’ll be whisked away to an unknown fateful destination of your destiny. China to Chicago, step aboard the grandest grab bag around. Upon arrival a brave new world will unfold right before your eyes. Pack light and prepare for the adventure of a lifetime as you experience the sensational world around us - only with Ajira Airlines DESTINATION: DESTINY.’
The site has loads of other hidden corners to explore and, as always, hints secreted within clips and pictures - anyone know what that split-second picture is during the introductory video on the home page??? Tell us what Lost easter eggs you’ve discovered on there.
And if you decide to book a flight with Ajira, don’t forget to send us a postcard!

I’ve tried the origami as described on the adventures page, using the boarding pass - but not sure if it works properly on UK A4 paper as opposed to US A4 paper - I can just see bits of the boarding pass inside the paper ball!
If you look at the example boarding pass, it has two groups of numbers, one on the bottom and one as part of the SKU number. They are lat/long coordinates that end up being Guam.
Also, each corner of the boarding pass has a different symbol in watermark form.
Someone on the ajira airways lostpedia has very kindly posted info on what you should enter when searching for flights - if you put these details in, you will see some more very interesting bits and bobs once you start trying to choose a seat…
