Yesterday we told you about the new Heroes webisodes that are going online next week as part of the build-up to the third series in September. Today, we thought we’d bring you a quick round-up of some of the latest news we’ve heard about the series proper…
• The series will start in America on Monday 22 September and will air here in the UK a few days later. We’re hearing whispers of BBC2 on Thursday 25 September, though we haven’t had this confirmed, so don’t quote us on that.
• The theme for the series will be Villains and will focus on the nature of good and evil. Heroes creator Tim Kring recently told Sci-Fi Wire that viewers will see “a lot of bad guys”, including, thrillingly, a fully restored Sylar.
• A new trailer – called Battle Begins – has recently been posted on the official Heroes site. In it, HRG explains to Claire about how he captured villains before she was born and how a dozen – who will hunt, terrorise, kill and “cause unimaginable destruction to the world” – have escaped.
• Additionally, Kristin at E! says that Nathan will develop the power to see dead people, Mohinder will have a romance with a female Hero, Niki/Jessica will have a new alter-ego, and Claire’s firestarter mum Meredith will be back. TV Guide, meanwhile, tells us that Hiro will inherit his father’s business empire and has a new nemesis, Daphne, who moves at supersonic speed, and that we’ll see a flash-forward to the future in which Claire becomes “mean, damaged and kinda nuts”.
That’s all for the moment, but you can rest assured that we’ll be back with more as soon as we hear anything else!

Sylar’s evil eybrow deserves its own show…
