When’s it back? BBC2 & BBC3, early-October
By the show creator Tim Kring’s own admission, the second series of Heroes was not as good as it should have been, although, to be fair, we can’t hold him entirely responsible… after all, there was that pesky writers’ strike to contend with.
Disappointing as series two was, though, there were still some awesome moments; the Adam-Hiro face-off, Maya’s bleeding eyes and the jaw-dropping cliff-hanger that saw Nathan shot dead and Sylar regain his powers were all worthy of the supreme first series.
So what can we expect from season 3, which will be split into two parts, Villains and Fugitives? Well, it all starts with us being introduced to the mysterious ‘Level 5’, a facility for housing the most dangerous super-powered criminals in the world and a face from the past. “The second coming is at hand,” warns Linderman. There will also be a whole host of new characters, such as Speedster, played by the very lovely Brea Grant.
All we seem to be left with at the moment are questions… Who is good? Who is evil? And who the hell is Angella’s third child? Answers please!
