Brilliant news indeed - UK’s SCI FI channel, currently home to the brand new series of Eli Stone, as well as classic old episodes of Angel, Medium and Quantum Leap, is launching an HD version of itself, called SCI FI HD, on Sky 214.
It’ll be like a much better looking clone of the original, with all programmes shot in HD being simulcast - so when Eli’s appearing on the regular SCI FI channel at 9pm, you can also watch him in high definition on SCI FI HD.
The quirky Zooey Deschanel drama Tin Man will be rerun on there in February, as will the Amanda Tapping show Sanctuary. Plus, SCI FI tell us there’ll be HD movie exclusives including Roger Corman’s $10million CGI-fest Cyclops and the channel’s original production Ba’al: The Storm God, starring Jeremy London.
To celebrate the news, SCI FI has given us a fabulous goody bag to give away, with pressies including a Flip digital video camera, DVDs, CDs and other treats relating to Eli Stone’s eclectic mix of guest stars. Bloomin’ marvellous - thank you, SCI FI!
To be in with a chance of winning the swag, all you have to do is answer this ridiculously hard easy question:
Q. Which former Dawson’s Creek star recently appeared in Eli Stone as a lawyer/sultry jazz singer?
Email your answer to tvspy@ipcmedia.com, clearly marked Eli Stone competition. The closing date for entries is Monday 9th February.
