The competition to win a copy of Rescue Me Uncensored: The Official Companion has now closed. Well done to everyone who correctly answered that Denis Leary’s firefighter character is Tommy Gavin.
We put all the names in a firefighter hat, and the lucky winner is Dorothy Rutland. Well done, Dorothy! It’s a tad too big to fit in a Christmas stocking, but it will definitely fit beneath the Christmas tree.
Thanks to everyone who took part. Don’t forget you can access episodes of the new series of Rescue Me exclusively on iTunes.
If we had the equivalent of a fire alarm for the world wide web, we’d be setting it off right about now.
We’ve got our hands on a copy of the hardback Rescue Me Uncensored - The Official Companion, from the US firefighter drama starring Denis Leary, and we’re more than happy to hand it over to a worthy fan.
The book includes uncensored script excerpts from all four series, more than 140 glossy colour photographs of all the guys from 62 Truck in action, episode guides and playlists of the music from the show.
All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is answer this question:
Q. What is the name of Denis Leary’s character in Rescue Me?
Email your answers to tvspy@ipcmedia.com, clearly marked Rescue Me Competition. The closing date for entries is Thursday 4th December.
Please note: we will collect your personal email data solely to process your competition entry. The prize will be awarded to the first correct entry drawn at random under independent supervision after the competition closes at midnight on 4th December. We will notify the winner by email within 21 days of this closing date. The prize consists of one copy of Rescue Me Uncensored - The Official Companion. Promoter: IPC Media. For full terms and conditions, see here.
Yes, as promised, series four of the Denis Leary firefighter drama Rescue Me is being released on iTunes, starting today, and the first episode is completely free! We just downloaded it ourselves!
All you’ll need to access it is an iTunes account. If you haven’t already got one, it’s fairly straightforward - you just need a valid email address and a password. There’s no need to hand over any bank card details for the free stuff – but if you’re a fan of the show, you will need to pay for subsequent episodes. Enjoy!
Today, we bring you more glad tidings… to get you in the mood, iTunes have made series two available today, followed by series three next week and then on the 7th November you’ll be able to download series four. I make that 17 days to wait. Still no sign of the webisodes being available for us non-US viewers though…
1) Friends and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip star Matthew Perry is returning to TV in a new drama called The End of Steve. His character, says the show’s writer and director, is “an absolute s***”.
2) The pilot episode of JJ Abrams’ new sci-fi series Fringe has turned up on the file-sharing network BitTorrent, and people are speculating that it might have been intentionally leaked to build early buzz and hype before the show’s broadcast premiere in September.
