ABC have been running teaser trailers for some of their new shows and their returning dramas, including Courtney Cox’s new vehicle Cougartown (more of that anon), Grey’s Anatomy and, of course, Lost… So when we saw THIS trailer, we thought they were giving us a sneaky heads-up on season six of Lost.
How could they bring Charlie back? Would he be a ghost in Hurley’s head? Or were the gang going to have time-travelled to a bygone era before the munchkin rocker was consigned to a watery grave?
What we have now learned is that we really need to calm down with our fevered speculations! Word on the street is Monaghan is going to be joining the cast of another ABC show as a series regular.
Oh dear, pass the paracetamol - I can feel some more feverish guesswork coming on… What show will it be?
We thought you might enjoy these behind-the-scenes shots of the cast and crew of Lost larking about on set in Hawaii. Tough life, isn’t it! But why on earth is Jeremy Davies wearing a crown? And how can we get our own personal tanning team to take along on our next beach vacation?
1. Is Ben now officially bad? He’s always maintained that Widmore’s the big bad, but Ben’s actions this episode seem selfless and remorseless. Whereas Widmore seemed concerned for the island and its people, Ben’s only aim appears to be to get back and once more seize control for his own gain. Should we now be rooting for Widmore?
2. Is Locke now fully alive again? Christian Shepherd’s reincarnation only extends to lurking in the undergrowth and hiding out in a dank, old shed. Yet, Locke is walking around, talking to folk. Does he need to stay on the island to live now? Is he just a hallucination? Will he ever say no to someone who tells him that he’s special?!?
3. How long will it take for this new lot of plane crash survivors to die? Unless you’re part of the Jack and Kate crew, you won’t survive long on the island. We’re giving this new lot a couple of episodes before they’re burying each other alive after being bitten by a medusa spider.
4. Where has Frank sailed off to – and with whom? We’re told the pilot and a female passenger have taken off in one of the boats. Perhaps not all the Oceanic Six flashed off the plane. We haven’t seen Sun yet since the crash – Ben wasn’t happy to hear Jin was still alive, so could this affect Sun’s chances of meeting the other surivors?
5. Who is Walt’s counsellor? Because we could do with his number. Has there ever been a more well-adjusted teenager? His mum’s dead, his plane crashed, he was kidnapped by fake-beard-wearing baddies, he may have psychic powers (until the producers got bored of that), his dad ran off and left him again… And yet he didn’t even ask how Vincent is!
A quick sneak peak for all you Losties of former 24 actress Reiko Aylesworth’s debut in the episode LaFleur, which will air on Sky1 on Sunday 8 March.
The actress, who previously played doomed CTU agent and ex-love of Tony Alemida’s life Michelle Dessler, plays a heavily pregnant woman by the name of Amy who is treated by Julit (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Dharma-ite Horace Goodspeed (Doug Hutchison). Judging by the pic above, it looks like her scenes may be set in the 1970s – but as we all know, nothing in Lost is ever quite as it seems, so don’t quote us on that…
Seems we’re not the only ones who are throughly baffled by the latest series of Lost. ABC in America has put up this fun bluffer’s guide to help us make sense of what’s going on…
Calling all Losties! Has anyone seen that van Ben’s been driving around with the sign Canton-Rainier Carpet Cleaning on it? Well, speculation is rife over what it could mean. Could it be an anagram of some importance or just a big fat red herring? So far, we’ve got ‘Reincarnation’ and ‘In Ran Creation’. Anyone else got an idea?
Well, apart from a rather unconvincing English accent from English actor Dominic Monaghan, you get exactly what it says on the tin – Charlie from Lost appearing in spy caper Chuck. Dominic, who’s clearly been to the Jane Leeves school of accents, guest stars as a British rock star using the BuyMore for a live promo. Naturally, life-threatening spy hijinks are, indeed, ahoy. Here’s a sneak preview…
Some people, it seems, have rather too much time on their hands. Possibly the silliest thing we’ve seen on YouTube, er, this week, this is the handiwork of The Fine Brothers, whose previous fine Lost parodies have seen them present the show in the style of The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Indiana Jones.
