OK, we’ve just had confirmation of the BBC’s plans for the new series of Heroes.
Unlike the previous series, the third season is going to be shown on Wednesday nights, beginning 1 October.
The first episode will be shown on BBC2 at 9pm, followed by one of those 15-minute Heroes Unmasked thingies, and then the second episode will be on BBC3 at 10pm. Both episodes will also be simulcast on the BBC’s HD channel.
There will also be another chance earlier in the evening (7pm) to see the Heroes Countdown preview show that’s premiering on BBC3 next week (9pm on Friday 26 September to be precise).
Meanwhile, while we’re on the subject of scheduling, we also understand that the first episode of Little Britain USA will be on BBC1 at 9.30pm on Friday 3 October. Marvellous news, eh?
Another little clip for all you Little Britain fans, this time taking us behind the scenes of the US version of the show. The series starts in America on Sunday 28 September and will be shown here in the UK a few days later…
Blimey, these Little Britain USA clips are coming thick and fast.
A few days ago we posted some clips of Lou and Andy, Vicky Pollard and new character Bing Gordyn, and yesterday we brought you an extended trailer featuring Carol “computer says no” Beer and Marjorie Dawes giving Rosie O’Donnell a hard time.
Today, for your viewing pleasure, we have clips of Daffyd Thomas, who is now at university in America and adamant he’s “the only gay on campus”, and new character Phyllis and her rather demanding but cute pooch Mr Doggy.
Enjoy!

Starts BBC1, late-September/early-October
Yes, folks, Little Britain is coming back, only this time with a distinctly American accent.
Matt Lucas and David Walliams are looking to follow in the footsteps of Ricky Gervais and Sacha Baron Cohen and crack the States with a new custom-made HBO series.
The six-part series will feature plenty of old favourites from the duo’s BBC series, only relocated in an American setting – Daffyd, for example, is attending an American university and Sebastian Love is working at the UN.
New characters to look out for include muscle-clad jocks Tom and Mark (pictured above), who enjoy frolicking naked in the gym; foul-mouthed beauty pageant hopeful Ellie-Grace and her pushy mother; Phyllis and her manipulated canine companion Mr Doggy; and Bing Gordyn, the eighth astronaut on the moon, who is obsessed about the lack of recognition he gets compared to the other astronauts.
A number of celebs have also been lined up to appear, including Sting and comedian Rosie O’Donnell, who plays one of Marjorie Dawes’s Fat Fighters (you can see her about halfway through the preview below).
We have already posted clips of Lou and Andy, Bing Gordyn and Vicky Pollard here, and below, for your delectation, is an extended (nine minutes-plus!) preview.
Be warned, it may take a while to load (you may want to hit pause and go off and make yourself a cup of tea while it does its stuff), but you can be sure it’s well worth the wait…

So, not long now until American TV audiences get their very own version of Little Britain.
The series launches on HBO on 28 September and will feature both established characters such as Vicky Pollard and Lou and Andy as well as new characters such as former astronuat Bing Gordyn, all of whom are featured in the clips below.
The trailers also feature a re-orchestrated version of the original BBC theme tune and voiceovers from Tom Baker…

2) 24 co-executive producer Jon Cassar was attacked by a lion while filming the season seven prequel in Cape Town.
