She’s back! But not for long, so don’t miss tonight’s thrilling episode - in my opinion the best so far this series - of Grey’s Anatomy, when the fabulous Addison returns to Seattle Grace. Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure …

Is Michael Phelps really joining the cast of Grey’s Anatomy as new doc McSwimmy? As tempting as it sounds, sadly this is a hoax - but on Jimmy Kimmel’s pre-Emmy special we got a sneak peek at what a Phelps-featuring season of Grey’s might look like. Surely this would get pulses racing at Seattle Grace…
When’s it back? Living, Thursday 11 September
As we return to Seattle Grace Hospital, things have changed for our favourite doctors and nurses of Grey’s Anatomy.
Meredith, Cristina, Izzie and Alex are all starting their first years as residents, while poor old George has to join a new crop of interns after failing his exams at the end of the last series. The other notable intern is a certain Lexie Grey (played by the not altogether ugly Chyler Leigh), Meredith’s half-sister, who will no doubt end up in a relationship with Derek before you can say ‘McLoveTriangle’.
There are two notable absentees from the cast: Addison has departed for warmer climes in the spin-off Private Practice (although she does make an appearance later on) and Burke, played by Isaiah Washington, has left the show completely after a much-reported on-set altercation was made public.
For those of you who’ve never seen the show, it really is a fantastic drama, with something for everyone, as these excerpts from American viewers’ reviews of the first episode on TV.com demonstrate… “The medical cases were all great: a man eating surgical instruments, a pregnant women with a lost arm, a wounded deer and a dying father.” “My McDreamy is back and looking better then ever! I love Patrick’s hair a lot this past summer! *sigh* lol.” “This is only like the second episode I watched (including the pilot). I am now watching the rest of Season 4 because this premiere was awesome! I might consider watching Seasons 1-3, but only if my sister buys them.”
If you don’t trust them, watch the season 5 trailer here - *WARNING: MAY CONTAIN GUTS.
The long-awaited series four of Grey’s Anatomy Will finally reach our shores next month, courtesy of Living - it’s hard to believe it was shown in America last Autumn! When will we ever catch up?
Since we last visited Seattle Grace, Isaiah Washington has hung up his surgical scrubs after the controversial incident involving his bust-up with his co-stars, and of course Kate Walsh’s character Addison has moved to California to work at a Private Practice, but there’s still more than enough drama left to go round.
Izzy is still doe-eyed over George, but he’s reeling from his exam failure and bitter as anything. Meanwhile, as if her new husband’s infidelity isn’t enough for Callie to deal with, she’s trying to make her mark as the new Chief Resident, dodging scalpel-sharp comments from Bailey and facing serious rebellion from her underlings.
As for Mer-Der - well, the show wouldn’t be the same if they weren’t having their ups and downs, and the situation isn’t helped by the arrival of Meredith’s half-sister Lexie - a girl who unfortunately is all too familiar to Derek.
Here’s our pick of the docs, at work and at play!
We’re going trailer crazy today. First we bring you a trailer of the new series of Desperate Housewives, now here’s a sneak peak of the fifth series of Grey’s Anatomy. It begins in the US at the end of September and is due to be shown here on Living later in the autumn…
Talking of adverts - as we were in the previous post, blog-fans - the cream of US acting talent are climbing over each other to be part of the long-running and legendary ‘got milk’ campaign…
Here’s a sneak preview of a clip from the first episode of Private Practice, as Addison limbers up for her first day at the new clinic with a good old boogie. We’d be dancing too, living in that stunning beach-side apartment!
When Addison Montgomery Shepherd first appeared on our screens in Grey’s Anatomy, it was hard to warm to her - how could we love anyone who would cheat on McDreamy with McSteamy?? Nevertheless, somehow she wormed her way into our affections and now she has earned her own spin-off, Private Practice.
We had a lot of questions for actress Kate Walsh when we got the chance to interview her, like how did she respond to the idea of leaving Seattle Grace when it was first pitched to her? What does she miss about her Grey’s Anatomy co-stars? And what exactly is in store for season one of the critically acclaimed show? Read on for all the answers…

Here’s one of ABC’s trailers for Living’s new show Private Practice, with some handy reminders about Addison’s early days in Grey’s Anatomy and what convinced her to leave Seattle Grace for new pastures.
Actor Kate Walsh, aka Addison Montgomery-Shepherd of Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy fame, loses her polished exterior when chat show host David Spade brings up the touchy subject of her rating in Maxim magazine’s top 100 women… Very funny, and DEFINITELY not safe for work unless you’ve got your headphones firmly plugged in.
