Don’t chuck away those Chuck 3D glasses… there’s more 3D TV on the way!

Hopefully, by now, you’ll have all got hold of your free Chuck 3D glasses with this week’s copy of TV & Satellite Week in preparation for next Tuesday’s episode on Virgin1.

It turns out, we’re pleased to report, that Chuck isn’t the only programme coming in 3D this year. The TV trade magazine Broadcast today reports that Channel 4 is also planning a week of 3D programmes using the same ColourCode technology as the Chuck episode.

Channel 4’s season, which will be shown this autumn, will include documentaries on the Queen’s Coronation, a Derren Brown magic special, a Greatest Ever 3D Moments clips show and some classic 3D movies converted to the format.

Channel 4 will be distributing the glasses through Sainsbury’s, but hold on to the pair you got with this week’s issue and you can save yourselves the trouble!

 Chuck 3D proper one

If you’re as excited about the upcoming 3D episode of Chuck as we are, you’ll know by now that you can’t just watch it with any old pair of 3D glasses you’ve got lying around the house, and you probably won’t be able to make your own with old Quality Street wrappers either.

So we’ve got some great news for you! TV & Satellite Week has teamed up with Virgin to make sure you get the right glasses, which have amber/blue lenses.

The 3D episode will get its first airing on Virgin on 25th August, so we’re going to put the glasses on the issue of TV & Satellite Week that goes on sale on Tuesday 18th August, to make sure you get them in plenty of time!

Here’s the preview again, in case you missed it when we posted it a couple of months ago:

Five reasons we can’t wait for the second season of Chuck | Number five - Guest stars Scott Bakula and Chevy Chase

Our final preview of Chuck season two takes in two HUGE guest stars who pop up towards the end of the season. To say who Scott Bakula and Chevy Chase play would be a huge spoiler, and clicking on the link below might unleash a torrent of information the more patient of you might not wish to know!

Still, the casting of top names such as these is another reason why we want Chuck back on our screens sharpish! And don’t forget to join Give Me My Remote’s campaign to get Chuck commissioned for a third run right now too.

Don’t click play unless you can cope with spoilers!

Five reasons we can’t wait for the second season of Chuck | Number four – the guest stars you recognise from somewhere or other…

The good news is that Virgin 1 confirmed to us yesterday that season two of Chuck will be airing in the UK in the summer. The bad news is that we still don’t have a specific date for the season two premiere…

Anyway, Chuck is chock-full of brilliant actors from great series you half-recognise. People such as Jenny McCarthy and Andy Richter in Chuck vs the Suburbs. Or The OC and CSI sexpot Melinda Clarke in Chuck vs he Seduction. Here are two more great reasons why we can’t wait for Chuck to return to Virgin 1…

Don’t forget to head over to Give Me My Remote to support their campaign to get Chuck a third season!

Five reasons we can’t wait for the second season of Chuck | Number three – Nicole Richie

Yep, that’s right – The Simple Life’s Nicole Richie really is a reason to get excited about season two of Chuck. As superspy Sarah’s old school nemesis Heather Chandler (wonder where they got that name?), Richie typifies both the great comedy and high-kicking action that makes this series so good.

We’ll be previewing a reason why the return of Chuck is so highly anticipated every day this week as part of Give Me My Remote’s campaign to remind NBC to give the show a third run. This clip is surely enough evidence on its own!

Five reasons we can’t wait for the second season of Chuck | Number two – It’s Charlie off Lost in glorious 3D!

The second reason we can’t wait for Chuck to return to UK screens is the fantastic 3D episode, Chuck vs the Third Dimension. Not only is it fantastically 3D, it also features a guest appearance by Dominic Monaghan (Charlie off Lost) as a British rock star with a rather exceptional British accent. Talk about typecasting.

Anyhow, this week Give Me My Remote are hassling NBC to grant Chuck a third season so enjoy these previews below and then head over there to support this noble cause! Be warned, the 3D in the second clip can induce migraines!

Five reasons we can’t wait for the second season of Chuck | Number one – Tricia Helfer

This week, in support of Give Me My Remote’s campaign to encourage NBC to give Chuck a much-deserved third season, we’ll be bringing you five reasons to be excited about the second season airing in the UK. Which, admittedly, is still a little way off…

Oh well, first up it’s Battlestar’s Tricia Helfer’s guest appearance in the episode Chuck vs the Broken Heart. And what else would Tricia be playing other than a stripping spy? Enjoy these two clips!

What do you get if you cross Charlie from Lost with spy caper Chuck?

Well, apart from a rather unconvincing English accent from English actor Dominic Monaghan, you get exactly what it says on the tin – Charlie from Lost appearing in spy caper Chuck. Dominic, who’s clearly been to the Jane Leeves school of accents, guest stars as a British rock star using the BuyMore for a live promo. Naturally, life-threatening spy hijinks are, indeed, ahoy. Here’s a sneak preview

And did we mention this episode of Chuck will be screened in 3D over in the States? Mind you, we suspect you might catch Dominic back where he belongs in the not-too-distant future

Are you ready for Chuck 3D?

Chuck’s entering the third dimension for the Superbowl and it looks like it’ll be the usual blend of slapstick comedy, spy intrigue and mind-blowing stunts as usual, just in 3D. Here’s a sneak peek – and keep an eye out for Tony Hale’s sly Arrested Development reference. Will Virgin 1 be so kind as to send us some 3D glasses in advance?
