It’s Halloween this weekend - let the screaming begin!

The good folk at Virgin On Demand have been in touch to let us know about the veritable pumpkin-load of Halloween specials they have lined up for you this weekend, guaranteed to get even the bravest of you cowering behind the sofa, so we promised to pass on the news.

The ‘box set’ highlights include Charlie Brooker’s zombie Big Brother spoof Dead Set, series one of JJ Abrams’ Fringe and vampire cop drama Moonlight, and series four of Supernatural.

There are also Halloween-themed episodes of top shows like The Big Bang Theory, Chuck, Pushing Daisies and Veronica Mars.

If you’re more in the mood for a movie, get your nails lined up for some serious chewing with horror flicks including Friday The 13th, My Bloody Valentine, Lesbian Vampire Killers, Let the Right One In and Fifty Dead Men Walking - all in HD.

Just don’t come crying to us if you have bad nightmares…

A nicely topical episode with the body of a Marine found in a car the night before Halloween. The circumstances surrounding his murder seem suitably spooky and then the investigation takes a surprising twist when it turns out the dead man had a link with Ziva.

10pm, Life on Mars USA, FX & HD
Sam investigates an attack on a young woman by a local gangster, and realises she’s his mother. When he discovers that the mobster is linked to the murder of two women, he suspects his colleagues of being involved in a cover up.

Booth and Brennan discover suburban life is anything but blissful when human remains are found in a barbecue pit during a local street party. As they investigate the murder, they discover a neighbourhood that makes Desperate Housewives look like Little House on the Prairie.

10pm, Lie to Me, Sky1
Cal and the team help to track down a man wanted for murdering his wife, but things turn nasty when the suspect takes Torres hostage at gunpoint and demands that the team clear his name.

10.40pm, Curb Your Enthusiasm, More4
Woo hoo! It’s the episode we’ve all been waiting for, as the cast of Seinfeld are reunited - even though Larry is dead set against it. He only relents when he realises it may be a way to win Cheryl back, and convinces Jerry, Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Michael Richards to return. It won’t be that straightforward though…

First look at CSI: Trilogy – Blending the best of Vegas, Miami and New York

They’ll be plenty of off-the-cuff one-liners, talking VERY slowly and taking things VERY personally this November on US telly screens when crime scene connoisseurs Laurence Fishburne, David Caruso and Gary Sinise come together on CSI: Trilogy.

This three-part special brings all three CSI outlets together as they investigate human trafficking and organ harvesting – and Battlestar favourite Mark Sheppard will show up at some point too. Here’s the trailer…

Grace investigates a possible case of negligence following a school bus crash that killed several children, but her enquiries are thrown off kilter when Oklahoma is hit by a tornado and she has to embark on a rescue mission.

Chuck and Sarah go AWOL while searching for Chuck’s kidnapped father (recurring guest star Scott Bakula), so Casey is told to bring them back dead or alive. At the Buy More, Morgan is coerced into accepting the position of assistant manager.

Pete goes to Las Vegas with Myka to recover an artifact from a couple of gamblers… unaware that the real Myka is trapped in a mirror at the warehouse.

A Dollhouse shareholder requests his nephew’s personality be imprinted onto Victor, unaware that the nephew is psychotic. When Victor escapes the Dollhouse, its up to Ballard to use his FBI skills to track the Active down before he kills someone.

ABC’s revamp of V, the 1980s sci-fi series about aliens invading earth, is looking seriously good… Let’s hope it lives up to expectations.
