A big-name guest star for the gritty crime drama series this week, as Matthew Modine appears as a face from Stabler’s past. Fiona gets in on the act in this week’s helping of chisel-jawed ex-spy capers. She’s decided to try her hand at a spot of bounty-hunting, but when she tracks the bail-jumper down she comes to the conclusion that he’s innocent of his supposed crime - stealing a £2 million diamond brooch. Will Michael help Fiona to find the real thief - or is he content to take a back seat for once?
Sun, 9pm, Fringe, Sky1
As we near the halfway point of JJ Abrams’ latest mind-bending creation, there’s another head-scratcher for the team when a swarm of imaginary butterflies prompts a Massive Dynamic employee to leap out of a window to his death. Scott proves to be useful in the ensuing investigation - much to his ex-partner (and ex-lover) Olivia’s frustration. Meanwhile, Peter’s past comes back to haunt him when some old enemies find out that he’s back in Boston.
Sun, 10pm, John from Cincinnati, FX
More strange goings-on for the residents of Imperial Beach tonight in Deadwood creator David Milch’s drama. Dr Smith is convinced that something miraculous occurred in Shaun’s hospital room to bring him back. Meanwhile, Cass comforts Mitch (Bruce Greenwood), who is unaware of her connection to Linc (Luke Perry)…
Sun, 10pm, Desperate Housewives, E4
Wisteria Lane has never been a good place to try and keep anything quiet, spectacularly proved by this week’s visit. The Scavos are stunned to learn about wayward son Porter’s scandalous relationship with Anne; Mrs McCluskey’s splendid sister Roberta (guest star Lily Tomlin) uncovers some very interesting information about the mysterious Dave (Neal McDonough, whose credits include Band of Brothers and short-lived cop show Boomtown); and the truth about Katherine comes out. Surely there can’t be any secrets left in this street?
