Goren and Eames investigate the torture and murder of a writer, following leads that include her criminal boyfriend, a creepy agent and dodgy friends.

A Miami detective (guest star Moon Bloodgod) discovers Michael’s stash of explosives, forcing him to work quickly to hide them before she can obtain a warrant. Elsewhere, the team uses an unusual form of interrogation to locate a kidnapping victim.

8pm, A Town Called Eureka, Syfy & HD
When a prototype sets everyone into bad temper mode, the situation escalates beyond Jack’s control. As Jack, Allison and Tess are the only sane people at Global Dynamics, they have to devise a plan that will make everything calm and happy again. Meanwhile, Henry is helping Dr Grant re-build the bridge that got them back to the new world, only to find that everything they touch disappears.

9pm, CSI: Miami, Channel Five
When a man at a party (at which Ryan and Cardoza are working undercover) falls in a pool of deadly jellyfish, Cardoza risks his life by trying to get the man out of the pool. But he can’t and the man dies, giving the CSIs a new case to investigate. However, confusion arises when the suspects have different stories about what happened. Meanwhile, Delko and Calleigh talk to the victim’s wife, who is desperate to get her hands on the insurance money. But when they call the insurance company, their investigation takes a new turn.

9pm, Smallville, E4
When Clark and Lois try to get away for a weekend, they end up at the same Scottish bed-and-breakfast as Chloe and Oliver. The couples try to deal with their awkwardness, but face more important problems when woman is possessed by a 300-year-old Scottish banshee who seeks vengeance on men. Meanwhile, Tess learns Zod’s secret, and the Major discovers that he’s not as omnipotent as he believed.

When the Trinity Killer strikes again, Deb finds her feelings for Lundy rekindled as they work on the case together. On the homefront, Dexter is preoccupied by a vandal who is trashing the neighbourhood.

There’s even more tension than usual at the centre when Maya announces that she’s pregnant - cue completely opposing viewpoints from Sam and Naomi, and a lot of frustration all round. Elsewhere, Charlotte moves in with Violet, but that’s not far enough away for Cooper, who wants her to leave the practice altogether.

8pm, A Town Called Eureka, Syfy
When the five time travelers (Sheriff Carter, Deputy Lupo, Dr. Blake, Dr. Deacon, and Dr Fargo) get back to Eureka, they find out that the town is anything but normal. Lupo is no longer a deputy but the head of GD security, Dr Blake is the medical director of GD, and Dr Fargo finds himself being the director of GD. Carter says ‘Yes’ when Tess asks him about the ‘thing’, only later realising that Tess is going to move in with him. They also realise that they no longer have the ability to repair their timeline because the device that returned them to the altered future overloaded and exploded. They must keep quiet and live their new lives for the time being and have Dr Grant adjust to the 21st Century until they can return him.

9pm, CSI: Miami, Channel Five
The CSIs investigate the mysterious case of how two cars managed to collide while one was almost standing still, and what baffles the team is that a woman in one car was killed, a man in the same car was injured, while the man in the other car escaped unscathed. However, Cardoza talks to the survivor’s wife, who claims the car her husband drove was stolen. Meanwhile, the surviving man mysteriously drops dead while in CSI custody. LA Lakers’ basketball star Pau Gasol guests as the driver of the second vehicle.

9pm, Smallville, E4
Three Kandorians are abducted by a crazed doctor on whom they performed experiments and who now believes that they are alien invaders intent on conquest. Clark insists on investigating and butts heads with Zod. Meanwhile, the doctor also abducts Lois and tries to convince her to publish his story, and Tess tells Oliver to find the person responsible for embezzling funds from the company. Zod disguises himself as a Daily Planet reporter, but is shot for his efforts.
