Reasons to Stay In: Friday 25 September

Coronation Street (ITV1, 7.30 & 8.30pm)
The Rosie, Michelle and Luke love triangle takes centre stage this evening in a violent and rather tawdry manner. There’s a good-old-fashioned cat fight, complete with hair pulling, to look forward as Rosie gets to grips with Michelle during Jason and Tina’s party. As you’d expect, Rosie loses this particular battle but is convinced she’s yet to lose the war, and returns in a scene so saucy it’s had to be cut.

Classic Albums/The Doors: No One Here Gets Out Alive (BBC4, from 9.00pm)
An evening of bluesy-riffs, rambling poetry and leather trousers as BBC4 pays tribute to singer and songwriter Jim Morrison, frontman of the Doors. The first programme details the making of the Doors’ debut record in 1967, while the second is a profile of the band who, with the exception of Morrison, did indeed get out alive. Although, by the look of them now, you wonder how they managed it. The rock’n'roll lifestyle has certainly taken its toll on John Densmore, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek but its also left them with some tales to share.

True Blood (FX, 10.00pm)
At the end of last week’s episode we were made to feel a certain amount of sympathy for Jessica, the young woman Bill was ordered to turn. However, upon completion of her vampire transformation, Jess is revealed to be something of a spolit bitch, with a heathly appetite for blood. Tara, after nearly crashing her car into a naked woman with pig, is arrested for drunk driving, while Jason turns himself into the cops after becoming convinced he’s committed murder while high on V. Just another regular day in Bon Temps.
