It was revealed late last week that FX have bought the rights to US comedy series Eastbound & Down. The show stars Danny McBride as former baseball pitcher Kenny Powers who has returned to his home town of Shelby County after failing to make in big in the Major League. Although still believing himself to be a celebrity, Kenny is reduced to earning a living as gym teacher at his old school. The show is produced by Will Ferrell, who pops up occasionally, as in this preview clip (WARNING: there’s some rude talk in this clip!). We think it looks pretty good, as with quite a few shows on FX these days.
