The blockbuster movies Jurassic Park, Disclosure or The Andromeda Strain would never have hit our screens if hadn’t been for bestselling author Michael Crichton who sadly died last week.
To pay tribute to this great novelist and filmmaker, Sky have changed their schedule today on Sky Movies Screen 2 to feature a Michael Crichton tribute:
On at 1.30pm, this sci-fi adventure is based on Michael Crichton’s novel and stars Dustin Hoffman, Sharon Stone and Samuel L Jackson. A group of scientists find an alien sphere inside a space craft on the ocean floor.
Showing at 4pm, this medieval action adventure is based on Michael Crichton’s Beowulf-inspired legend novel Eaters of the Dead. It stars Antonio Banderas as a 10th-century Arab diplomat who joins a band of Viking warriors on a dangerous quest.
On at 6pm, this sci-fi thriller based on Crichton’s novel is about a deadly organism from outer space brought to Earth on a returning satellite. It stars Arthur Hill, David Wayne, James Olson.
At 9pm. As well as penning the novel, Crichton produced this disaster movie starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton as an estranged married couple of meteorologists who reunite to chase tornadoes across the American Midwest
Showing at 11pm. Michael Crichton’s hit thriller novel is brought to the big screen in this movie starring Michael Douglas and Demi Moore. A seductive female boss charges an executive with sexual harassment when he spurns her advances.
